Update On Becky

When Becky (a single mother of six) first came to us, her truck that she needs to pull her trailer and to get back and forth to work was in the shop.

She had enough money saved up to pay for it, but it ended up needing more work and taking more time than expected so she was just shy of paying for the work so she could get her truck back.

Since Rebecca is a dedicated and proven responsible client, we were able to advocate for her and get most of the bill paid by another agency.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to pay the remaining amount. Now Becky can breathe a little easier knowing she'll have transportation to work and to move her trailer around.

When Hope is Found Again

“Becky” is a single mom with six kids and had been staying in a travel trailer while she was working hard to save enough money to be able to afford a more permanent residence.

Then Becky unexpectedly lost her job.

While devastated, she didn't waste any time looking for help. Some friends had told her about Love INC so she called us right away and made an appointment for an intake.

Upon leaving our office with vouchers for many essential items provided by you, our local churches, Becky felt blessed and had hope in her eyes again.

Just a few hours after leaving our office, she let us know that she had been called in for a job interview that same day. A few days later she called again to share that she got the job!

It was the coldest day before Christmas break, but they called just in time!

“Jane” is a long time Love INC client, so when this emergency arose she knew who to call!

The morning of one of Newberg’s coldest days, Jane’s husband discovered that the propane tanks in their trailer (where they live) had run out. This meant they had no heat and not near enough money to fill them up.

When they scraped together enough money to try and fill them, the gas station they were told their tanks were too old to fill up!

Jane reached out to us for help, a donor was able to meet her need through Love INC.

We are continually inspired by the Christians in our community who can respond to immediate needs in these special cases. Because of your generosity, Jane and her husband are warm and safe.

“Roger” had been homeless for seven years, but he found hope when he found a job!

We received a call one morning just as we were opening to hear that Roger found a job, but there was one problem.... he needed non-slip work shoes. This was a necessity, since his new job was in a restaurant.

He was able to make it down to our office, where YOUR donations were able to provide help to get shoes in time.

Ramiro was so thankful and said that he wants to help volunteer at Love INC to help other families in need! He will also be taking advantage of the multitude of church ministries that will supply his apartment when he gets one.

He loves Jesus with all his heart and had a smile from ear to ear to prove it.

Your work is making stories like Roger’s possible. Thank you for loving our community In the Name of Christ.
