A homeless gentleman "Bryan" came in looking for a bus ticket to AZ. When we let "Bryan" know that we couldn't provide this service for him, he asked if he could just talk to someone. One of our volunteers "Kim" happened to be available. "Kim" sat and listened to his story, did a little research online for bus tickets and ended by asking if she could pray for him. At first he said no. Then he said, actually yes, you can. It was as if God, in that moment, opened his heart. We weren't able to solve his monetary problem but we gave him the gift of a loving, listening ear and covering him in prayer.
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” - Ezekiel 36:26
